Welcome to the Mausethal.com website. Just outside Lüneburg (16 km) and south-east in the Hamburg metropolitan region lies the small village of Radenbeck in the Mausebach valley. In the old village centre there are some old half-timbered houses, and in a half-timbered house from 1806 there is the holiday flat. Nature lovers, people seeking peace and quiet, friends of old buildings, cyclists, families, campfire people and and and… can spend nice holidays here. The apartment has four sleeping places distributed in two bedrooms. A further room with two sleeping places on a comfortable sofa bed will also be available soon.
The beautiful holiday apartment is facing south and west and is located on the ground floor of the farmhouse. These are the original living rooms of the farm family – good living room, sleeping room, chamber, hall, bathroom. The room behind the kitchen with the bunk bed was probably the parlour of the maid or the farmhand. The door to the “old kitchen” is locked, this is where our apartment begins, with a separate entrance from the back. The entrance of the apartment is in the front, through the beautiful old door. Everything is lovingly and ecologically developed: Clay walls with ecological lime paintings, coloured clay plaster in the living room, the old floorboards as well as old doors, new wooden box windows according to the historical model with old fittings and in the outside windows with old glass. Insulation is with reed mat and Isofloc. You won’t find completely straight walls and a new building flair, instead you will find lively surfaces and the charm of an architectural monument from 1806.
